The news: Engineering and services contractor Downer EDI’s joint venture with CPB Contractors has secured a new contract from the Australian Defence Force.
The numbers: The contract value is estimated at $500 million-$750 million, subject to further government review. Revenue will be split 50:50 between Downer and CPB Contractors. The project is to begin in early 2026 and is scheduled to be completed by early 2029.
The context: The contract relates to the ADF’s redevelopment of the RAAF Woomera Range Complex, an Australian military and civil aerospace facility in South Australia. The project will deliver buildings, services and infrastructure works at the facility.
