DroneShield added to ASX 200 as TechnologyOne enters ASX 50

The news: Counterdrone system supplier DroneShield has been added to the S&P/ASX 200 Index, having seen its shares climb 304% over the year to date, as software provider TechnologyOne knocked Treasury Wines out of the ASX 50.

The context: Gold miners Genesis Minerals and Ramelius Resources have joined the ASX 100 as well as Netwealth Group. They displaced travel agency Flight Centre Travel Group, international student education services provider IDP Education and packaging business Orora.

There were nine changes to the ASX 200. DroneShield, telco Superloop, additive manufacturer IperionX, Singapore-focused telco owner Tuas and medical product wholesaler and distributor Ebos were among the companies added to the benchmark index. Investment manager GQG Partners was also added.

Meanwhile, data centre provider Macquarie Technology Group, property developer Lifestyle Communities and vehicle parts supplier Amotiv were removed from the ASX 200. Clarity Pharmaceuticals, biotech PolyNovo and agricultural chemicals supplier Nufarm were also removed.

There were no changes to the ASX 20 index.
