DroneShield secures $8.2m contract with 'western military' customer
The news: Defence technology company DroneShield has received an $8.2 million contract from an unnamed "western military" government department.
The context: The contract was secured via an in-country reseller, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of a "multi-billion dollar, global, publicly listed customer", that is required to distribute the products to the western military end-customer.
DroneShield will supply handheld counter-drone systems, associated accessories and spare kits, and software updates as part of the contract.
The company said it has the stock on the shelf and expects to complete the delivery prior to the end of 2025, or in early Q1 2026. Cash payment is expected to be fully received in Q1 2026.
