DroneShield wins $4.7m Swiss contract
The news: Security company DroneShield has secured a fresh order from a non-government Swiss customer for a number of vehicle-based counter-drone systems.
The numbers: The order is worth $4.7 million, with the end customer a high profile government agency. Payments are expected throughout 2024, with the final payment in the first quarter of 2025, DroneShield said.
Shares in the company were up 0.77% to $1.56 each in early trading.
The context: The company said the vehicle-based solution will offer a rapidly deployable counterdrone-drone system that can be operated in both static and on-the-move missions for convoy and mobile VIP protection.
It said the solution provides a new level of operational flexibility and also highlighted the company’s expertise as a system integrator.
DroneShield provides artificial intelligence-based platforms for protection against threats from drones and autonomous systems.
