DroneShield’s detection system passes UK security assessment

The news: DroneShield’s platform for detecting and tracking drones, DroneSentry, has passed a national security assessment by the UK government’s National Protective Security Authority (NPSA).
The context: The NPSA’s evaluation of DroneSentry means the technology is now included on their catalogue of security equipment, a list of technologies that verifiably meet tough security and performance standards.
DroneSentry is underpinned by the software-as-a-service DroneSentry-C2 command-and-control engine. The system enables integration of a range of sensors and effectors.
DroneShield's counter drone solutions are available exclusively through telecommunications giant BT Group in the UK.
What they said: “This is an exciting step forward and a public endorsement of the quality and performance of our solutions, for both the UK and other markets,” DroneShield CEO Oleg Vornik said.
“It comes at a critical geopolitical time of rapidly escalating drone incidents across Europe, as our customers seek to deploy counterdrone protection across a wide range of facilities, starting from a very low or no existing deployments due to the nascent nature of the sector.”
