The news: Counter-drone technology company Electro Optic Systems has secured new sales orders in the Middle East worth a combined $38 million.

The context: EOS agreed a $23 million order for a naval remote weapon system to be supplied to a new customer in the Middle East.

EOS didn’t disclose the name of the customer but described it as a “long established shipbuilding business which is partly state-owned”.

The systems are expected to be delivered over the next seven years.

Meanwhile, EOS’ newly acquired MARSS business has secured a $15 million order from an existing customer in the Middle East for counter-drone defence.

The contract will see EOS supply a new counter-drone command and training centre to the national defence force of an unnamed country in the Middle East.

The company is expected to deliver on the contract during 2026 and 2027.
