Ex-ASIC commissioner Danielle Press to chair Insignia Trustees
The news: Insignia Financial has appointed former Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) commissioner Danielle Press as chair and non-executive director of its superannuation arm Insignia Trustees.
The context: Press, who served as commissioner for the corporate regulator between 2018 and 2023, will join Insignia Trustees as a non-executive director from 19 September and commence as chair in November.
Press was previously CEO at The Myer Family Company, CEO at Equipsuper and managing director at UBS Global Asset Management.
She will replace Lindsay Smartt who has decided to step down after five years with the organisation.
Insignia Trustees comprises IOOF Investment Management, NULIS Nominees (Australia), OnePath Custodians and Oasis Fund Management. Collectively these entities are responsible for five registrable superannuaction entities including MLC Super and AvWrap.
