Ex-GPT CEO appointed to Stockland board
The news: GPT's former chief executive Bob Johnston will join the board of fellow property developer Stockland from 1 October.
The numbers: Johnston left GPT in March after eight years at the helm, having previously served as managing director of Frasers Property Australia — formerly listed property group Australand — after holding leadership roles at Lendlease.
The context: Stockland said he will bring over 30 years of experience in the property sector including investment, development, project management and construction across Australia and internationally.
As required by Stockland's constitution, Johnston will be up for election at the company's 2024 annual general meeting.
