Ex-Optus chief Kelly Bayer Rosmarin appointed as Australian Unity’s CEO
The news: Member-owned health insurance business Australian Unity has appointed former Optus chief executive Kelly Bayer Rosmarin as its new chief executive and group managing director.
The context: Bayer Rosmarin will begin in the role on 15 December 2025 following a transition period alongside incumbent Rohan Mead from 5 November 2025. In March, Mead announced his intention to retire from the role after a 21-year stint.
Bayer Rosmarin is also on the board of REA Group and is a strategic adviser to Airwallex. She has also previously worked at Commonwealth Bank for 14 years.
