The news: Former Vanguard executive Johanna Platt has been appointed as Equity Trustees' new chief financial officer.
The numbers: Platt, who will start the role on 22 July, was previously CFO for Vanguard Australia between 2017 and 2022, where she led the Australian 200-person finance function, and was part of the executive team governing the establishment of the Vanguard superannuation business.
The context: The appointment follows the the decision of Equity Trustees' current CFO and chief operating officer Philip Gentry to step down from the position in December 2023.
Platt is currently the interim CFO at property fund manager ISPT and responsible for the finance, procurement, insurance, tax, treasury and valuation functions of the business.
