Former Macquarie exec Jim Craig joins Future Fund board
The news: The federal government has appointed former Macquarie Bank executive Jim Craig as a member of the Future Fund's board of guardians for a five-year term.
The numbers: Craig previously spent more than 20 years at Macquarie Bank, holding a number of senior positions. He was also an independent director and the chair of the investment committee at Australia's largest superannuation fund AustralianSuper from 2017 to 2021.
The context: The Future Fund board of guardians, which manages investments by the government's sovereign wealth fund, will also see Michael Washtel depart after a decade on the board.
