The news: KMD Brands has appointed Ian Morrice as an independent non-executive director to its board, effective 20 August.
The context: Morrice brings over 30 years of experience in senior leadership and strategic advisory roles across New Zealand, Australia, the US and the UK.
He was formally the group chief executive officer of Metcash and The Warehouse Group, where he led major business transformation initiatives and strengthened organisational capabilities.
What they said: “His deep operational and strategic expertise, together with his extensive governance experience and strong focus on shareholder value creation, will further strengthen the board as we continue to execute our Next Level strategy and evaluate other opportunities to accelerate value generation for shareholders,” KMD chair Philip Bowman said.
