Fortescue appoints new secretary in latest reshuffle
The news: Iron ore giant and global green energy aspirant Fortescue has a new company secretary, with chief general counsel Phil McKeiver replacing Gemma Tually effective today. Fortescue has not confirmed if Tually will continue with the company in another capacity.
The context: Fortescue's board and upper management team has been particularly fluid this year, with a number of high-profile exits. Just this week, the mining giant's future industries South-East Asia president Allard Nooy announced his departure after less than 18 months, the West Australian reported.
Former Reserve Bank deputy governor Guy Debelle resigned from the board in September after 17 months, following exits from CEO Fiona Hicks after six months in the job and CFO Christine Morris who left after two months.
