Fortescue first-half NPAT lifts 23% amid record iron ore shipments

The news: Fortescue has posted a first-half net profit after tax of USD1.91 billion ($2.71 billion), a 23.4% lift compared to the previous corresponding period as the mining giant delivered record iron ore shipments.

This profit figure was behind the market consensus expectation of USD2.04 billion, according to Visible Alpha.

Revenue for the six months to the end of December 2025 came in at USD8.45 billion. That is up 10.5% on the previous corresponding period and ahead of the market expectation for USD8.29 billion.

A fully franked interim dividend of 62 cents per share was declared, up from 24 cents in the previous period and ahead of the expected 59.8 cents per share.
