GE Aerospace lifts guidance as orders rise 17%
The news: GE Aerospace reported a 17% increase in orders in the second quarter of 2026 and raised its full-year operating profit guidance by 6%.
The numbers: The jet engine maker received USD16.5 billion in orders during the three-month period. Revenue rose 21% to USD13.3 billion, while net profit increased 17% to USD2.8 billion.
Commercial Engines & Services was the fastest-growing segment, with revenue up 27% from a year earlier to USD9.7 billion. Defense & Propulsion Technologies revenue rose 16% to USD3.4 billion.
The results prompted GE Aerospace to raise the midpoint of its full-year operating profit guidance from USD10.05 billion to USD10.65 billion.
What they said: “Given our exceptional year-to-date performance and visibility for the remainder of the year, we are raising our full-year guidance across the board,” GE Aerospace chair and chief executive Lawrence Culp said.
