Genesis Minerals shuffles leadership team, COO Matthew Nixon promoted to CEO
The news: Gold producer Genesis Minerals has unveiled changes to its senior management team, moving managing director Raleigh Finlayson to executive chair, with chief operations officer Matthew Nixon promoted to CEO.
The context: Nixon will assume responsibility for running the company day to day and executing its multi-year growth plan.
Finlayson's new role is designed to focus on key growth drivers, leadership development and strategy, including an initial strategic review of Genesis' Bardoc project in Western Australia.
Executive director Duncan Coutts will become executive director of operations, with responsibility for for accelerating development of the Tower Hill mine and other expansion projects.
Non-executive chairman Tony Kiernan will remain on the board as lead independent director.
