GQG Partners' FUM lifts $2.5b despite $5.9b outflows
The news: GQG Partners’ funds under management lifted 1.1% or USD1.8 billion ($2.5 billion) to USD165.7 billion in January despite continuing outflows.
The numbers: The fund saw net outflows of USD4.2 billion over the month but saw a USD6 billion gain from investment performance. The January outflow is more than the net outflow of USD3.9 billion experienced over calendar year 2025.
The highest net outflow was from GQG’s US strategy at USD1.5 billion. The best investment performance was for GQG’s International strategy at USD2.4 billion.
The context: The fund has partially recovered from the USD2.2 billion decline in FUM over December amid what was described at the time as “relative underperformance across all our strategies for the year versus our benchmarks” due to its defensive positioning.
