Graeme Barclay appointed Green Square DC executive chair, resigns from Aussie Broadband board
The news: Graeme Barclay has been appointed executive chair of data centre business Green Square DC and has resigned from the board of Aussie Broadband.
The context: According to Barclays’ LinkedIn, he was appointed chair of Green Square in April 2025. Aussie Broadband told the market he has “recently accepted an executive chair role for a fixed term” with Green Square.
The additional responsibility was considered by Barclay, in conjunction with Aussie Broadband’s chair, to impede on his ability to be an Aussie Broadband director.
The board and Barclay have agreed to “hold discussions after approximately 12 months regarding his potential re-appointment to the board, subject to his availability and circumstances as well as the needs and composition of the Aussie Broadband Board”.
Barclay is still the non-executive chair of mining equipment manufacturer Codan.
