The news: Healthcare services provider Healius has announced the appointment of Andrew Thomson as its new chief financial officer following the retirement of Steve Humphries, effective 13 October.

The context: Thomson will join Healius from mining equipment provider BIS Industries, where he held the role of chief financial and commercial officer. He previously held leadership roles at Pacific National, Broadspectrum (formerly Transfield) and BHP.

Humphries will retire from Healius after nearly six years with the business. He was appointed CFO in March last year, after serving as deputy CFO since February 2020.
