Helloworld appoints former treasurer Peter Costello as director
The news: Australia’s longest-serving treasurer and former deputy leader of the Liberal Party Peter Costello has been appointed as an independent director of travel company Helloworld, effective 1 June.
The context: Costello served 11 years as federal treasurer from 1996 to 2007, and previously chaired the independent advisory board to the World Bank. He was also the chair of Australia’s Future Fund and Nine Entertainment.
