IGO finalises 100% acquisition of Copper Wolf project
The news: IGO has finalised the acquisition of the Arizona-based Copper Wolf project from Buxton Resources.
The context: The transaction is valued at a cash consideration of $6.15 million and will give IGO 100% of the ownership of the project by acquiring the remaining 49% joint venture stake.
The miner said the Copper Wolf project sits within one of the world’s most prolific porphyry copper belts, with drilling confirming porphyry mineralisation and alteration across much of the project area.
A targeted drilling program is scheduled for the first half of 2027.
What they said: “The project gives IGO direct exposure to an area of highly prospective geological potential within the globally significant Arizona copper belt, and I look forward to the team progressing the next phase of drilling activity on site,” IGO CEO Ivan Vella said.
