Incitec Pivot changes name to Dyno Nobel
The news: Fertilisers and explosives group Incitec Pivot has changed its name to Dyno Nobel and will begin trading under its new ASX ticker code DNL from 2 April.
The numbers: The company's shares were down 1.7% to $2.60 at 1:20pm AEDT, as the ASX 200 index lowered 1.6%.
The context: The company's shareholders voted in favour of the name change at its annual general meeting in December.
The move is part of the group's strategy to focus on its Dyno Nobel explosives business, and away from its fertilisers business, which it was in talks to sell last year.
Incitec Pivot will remain the name of its fertilisers business in Australia.
