Iress appoints Harry Mitchell as deputy CEO

The news: Iress has promoted group executive for APAC and the UK Harry Mitchell to deputy group chief executive, to allow its group CEO Marcus Price to focus on strategic growth opportunities.

The context: As deputy CEO Mitchell will assume additional responsibilities including its superannuation businesses alongside his APAC wealth and UK wealth and sourcing portfolios.

Iress also announced that its trading and market data CEO Jason Hoang will depart the company. Hoang was a co-founder of Xplan, Iress’ financial advice software which was acquired in 2003.

Geoff Rogers has been appointed to replace Hoang and was most recently overseeing Iress’ South Africa and Canada divisions. He previously held leadership roles at MLC and NAB.
