The news: Equinix has appointed former Vocus executive Jarrod Nink as its managing director for Australia effective immediately, filling the gap left by Guy Danskine who is now leading the West Americas business.

The context: Nink previously served as Vocus’ interim chief executive for enterprise, government, wholesale and infrastructure following the acquisition of those assets from TPG Telecom. He had previously spent more than seven years at Vocus.

Nink was also previously CEO of CK Hutchinson’s mobile virtual network enabler Hue and was a general manager at Vodafone Australia.

What they said: “Jarrod is an exceptional leader with a deep understanding of digital infrastructure and a proven ability to lead complex, high-performance technology businesses,” Equinix president Asia-Pacific Cyrus Adaggra said.

“Australia continues to see strong demand for digital infrastructure as organisations invest in AI, cloud and interconnected digital ecosystems. His extensive experience will help our customers capture these opportunities while supporting Equinix’s continued growth in one of our most strategic markets.”
