Kingsgate Consolidated shares rebound on restart of Chatree plant

The news: Gold and silver miner Kingsgate Consolidated has restored one of the plants at its Chatree gold mine to 50% of its normal processing capacity, after a controlled shutdown saw the company’s share price tank earlier this week.

The numbers: Kingsgate shares were up 12.9% to $4.12 at 10:30am AEST, having lowered 12.8% on Monday and 16.1% on Tuesday.

The context: Kingsgate, which was added to the ASX 200 index last month, said remediation activities at the site were “progressing well”, including a successful restart of the shutdown plant.
