KKR to raise up to USD15b for Asia PE fund: Reuters

The news: KKR is aiming to raise USD15 billion ($23.15 billion) in a new Asia private equity fund, according to sources cited by Reuters, marking one of the region’s largest buyout fundraisings.

The context: Sources told the masthead that the global PR fund begin marketing the fund to investors this week, adding that the final size of the new fund could exceed the target based on the market response. The fund will focus on sectors including consumer, life sciences, financial services, healthcare and industrials.
