KMD Brands' new CEO Brent Scrimshaw to begin this month
The news: KMD Brands' new chief executive Brent Scrimshaw will start in the role from 24 March, following the resignation of Michael Daly last year.
The numbers: KMD shares were up 0.7% to 34.8 cents at 3:40pm AEDT, moving positive after the announcement.
The context: The apparel retailer, which owns Rip Curl, Kathmandu and US hiking boot brand Oboz, announced the appointment of ex-Nike executive Scrimshaw in October.
Daly will step down as a director of KMD Brands on 25 March and work with Scrimshaw during a transition period until 4 April. The outgoing CEO had remained in the role while Scrimshaw completed his six-month notice period at marketing services company Enero Group.
