The news: Kogan has reached a settlement with US businessman Harish Chatlani and his company Pacific Link Traders after the online retailer took the supplier to court.

The context: In February, The Australian reported that Kogan was pursuing Chatlani in California courts over $232,000 worth of goods that it claimed went missing, never arrived or were paid for twice between 2020 and 2022.

According to documents from the United States District Court of California, the suit was settled on 29 August 2024 after a settlement and release agreement was entered into by both parties.

What they said: “Both parties worked together to clarify the misunderstanding that was caused by an accounting issue. The matter has been amicably resolved. Both parties will continue to maintain their long-valued relationship,” Kogan, Pacific Link Traders and Chatlani said in a joint statement.
