LGT Crestone hires Escala founding partners
The news: Wealth manager LGT Crestone has appointed Escala founding partners Steve Collins and Mason Allamby as partners and investment advisers, as part of its expansion to services for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, as well as family offices.
The numbers: The investing group said the expansion is supported by recent growth in its Australian operations, notching a 17% increase in client assets under advice and total revenue in the 2024 financial year.
The context: LGT Crestone said Collins and Allamby will lead a team providing professional advice to high-net-worth families, family offices and not-for-profit organisations.
Allamby co-founded fellow Melbourne wealth manager Escala in 2013, after roles at UBS Wealth Management and Mercer, specialising in comprehensive advisory services encompassing investment management, asset allocation and tax optimisation.
Collins, also an Escala co-founder, previously spent more than a decade at UBS Wealth Management, including as executive director, working on domestic and international equities, fixed-income securities, real estate investment trusts, alternative investments, and derivatives.
What they said: LGT Crestone CEO Michael Chisholm said: "We are delighted to welcome Steve and Mason to our team. Their client-centric ethos and exceptional track record reflect LGT Crestone’s commitment to excellence in financial advisory, and align with our entrenched client-focused culture."
"With a deep understanding of the market and wealth of experience, Mason and Steve play a critical role in our work providing tailored financial advice and strategies to our valued clients."
