MA Financial in talks to acquire asset manager IP Generation

The news: Asset manager MA Financial says it is in talks to acquire real estate asset manager IP Generation.

The numbers: IPG is a Victoria-based property management firm with approximately $2 billion of assets under management.

The context: MA Financial said it has a longstanding relationship with the target company, which has provided property management services to a number of its assets since 2019. It said it has engaged in discussions about a potential acquisition, and if a deal were to proceed, it would not involve an equity raising.

“No binding documentation has been entered into and there is no certainty that these discussions will result in a transaction,” MA Financial said in a statement.
