Magellan shares rise as it appoints interim CFO
More news: Magellan Financial Group shares lifted in early trading as it announced that its deputy chief financial officer Michelle Mutchnik was appointed as interim CFO.
Magellan shares were up 2.7% to $10.93 by 10:55am AEDT, having advanced more than 20% over the last 12 months.
Magellan internally appoints Michelle Mutchnik as interim CFO
The news: Investment manager Magellan Financial Group has internally appointed Michelle Mutchnik as interim chief financial officer, effective 24 January.
The context: Mutchnik will replace outgoing CFO Kirsten Morton, whose resignation was announced in November.
Mutchnik joined Magellan in 2020 and has held the role of deputy CFO since June 2022.
Magellan, which saw its first monthly drop in funds under management since August last month, said it is continuing its search for a new permanent finance chief.
