The news: Mayne Pharma has entered into a partnership with Atlanta-based Resilia Pharmaceuticals to exclusively distribute its topical gel “Recedo”, through its subsidiary DistributeRx.
The context: The partnership will allow Resilia Pharmaceuticals to distribute Recedo through DistributeRx’s streamlined prescription platform to expand patient access to the treatment.
DistributeRx will receive a fixed fee for each Recedo prescription filled using the platform, which the companies project will deliver the most cost-effective outcome for both the product and patients.
Recedo is a topical gel for the management of old and new keloids (thick scars) stemming from burns, general surgeries or trauma wounds.
What they said: “Scar management is a category where patients have historically had limited effective options, and the Recedo profile positions it well to meet that demand. DistributeRx is well placed to accelerate its commercial reach,” DistributeRx president Daniel Moore said.
