Megaport makes it official for interim CFO Dorman

The news: Cloud networking company Megaport has appointed Leticia Dorman to chief financial officer after eight months as interim CFO. Dorman was previously Megaport's head of finance before taking over for Sean Cassidy in March.

The numbers: Megaport posted its first positive normalised EBITDA at its full-year results last month and recorded a net loss of $9.8 million, a significant improvement on the previous year's $48.5 million loss. MP1 shares are up almost 2% today, and gained roughly 90% during 2023 to fetch $11.995 at 12:30pm AEST.

The context: Megaport has improved its guidance several times since chair and founder Bevan Slattery took the reins as chief executive in March. Australia's IT sector stocks are up 22.75% in 2023.
