Meta unveils business AI agent
The news: Meta has unveiled its AI business agent, designed to help companies with day-to-day operations, in a move that sees the social media giant enter the enterprise AI market.
The numbers: More than one million businesses are using a Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp and Messenger. Today’s announcement expands those services to allow the AI assistant to book calendar appointments and close sales on behalf of businesses.
The new agent version will be added to Instagram and rolled out globally.
