The news: Metrics Credit Partners managing partner Graham McNamara intends to retire on 31 March 2026 after more than 14 years as a founding shareholder of the non-bank corporate lender and alternative asset manager.

The context: Metrics said that McNamara’s retirement, which has been announced nine months in advance, is part of a “carefully managed leadership transition plan”. He will continue in an advisory role after retiring from the managing partner role.

McNamara was a founding shareholder of Metrics when it was established in 2011. He has had a more than 45 year career in financial services, which included senior roles at NAB and HSBC.

What they said: Metrics managing partner and group chief executive Andrew Lockhart extended the company’s “deepest gratitude and best wishes for [McNamara’s] future retirement”.

“Graham has been with us from the start and has always been a key contributor to Metrics’ success, bringing deep experience, strong leadership and an unwavering commitment to delivering great outcomes for investors. His influence extends beyond our business,” Lockhart said in a statement to the exchange.

McNamara said “it has been a privilege to help establish and grow Metrics into the business it is today” but that “the time feels right to step back".

“I leave knowing the firm is in very capable hands and look forward to watching Metrics’ continued success in the years ahead,” McNamara said.
