Monadelphous Group wins new contracts with BHP and Fortescue worth $220m
The news: Engineering company Monadelphous Group has been awarded new construction contracts with mining giants BHP and Fortescue worth a combined $220 million.
The context: Monadelphous has secured a major multidisciplinary construction contract for work on BHP's Jimblebar Train Loadout Replacement Project, located near Newman in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Work under the contract is expected to be completed in late 2027.
The group has also been awarded a contract for the construction of Fortescue's North Star Junction Battery Energy Storage System, a central part of the miner's decarbonisation efforts. The work, which is located 140km south of Port Hedland in Western Australia, is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026.
