Monadelphous wins $150m in new contracts with Rio Tinto, Newmont

The news: Engineering group Monadelphous has been awarded $110 million worth of new construction and maintenance contracts, including for services at Rio Tinto's Parker Point Stockyard Sustaining Project in Western Australia.

The context: Monadelphous' new contract with Rio Tinto will see the company provide electrical and instrumentation construction services at the project, located near Dampier, with work expected to be completed in mid-2026.

The group has also been awarded a contract by McConnell Dowell Constructors and BMD Constructions to provide electrical and instrumentation works for the Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline in Central Queensland. The work is due to be completed in late 2025.

Meanwhile, Monadelphous has secured a five-year extension to its existing contract with gold miner Newmont. The company will provide general mechanical and electrical maintenance services at the miner's gold operations in Boddington, Western Australia, and Tanami, Northern Territory.
