Monadelphous wins orders worth $340 million
The news: Engineering firm Monadelphous Group said it has been awarded three new construction contracts in the iron ore and renewable energy sectors.
The numbers: The new contracts are expected to contribute revenue totaling $340 million.
The context: The company said its engineering, procurement and construction joint venture with Lycopodium has won a design and construct contract from Rio Tinto for a new sampling facility at a port operation in the Pilbara region, with work to be completed in mid-2026.
In addition, Monadelphous also won a multidisciplinary construction contract from BHP’s Western Australia Iron Ore for dewatering of surplus water from Orebody 32 in Newman, with the work to be completed in the second half of 2025.
The company’s renewable energy joint venture with ZEM Energy, has also secured a contract from CS Energy, a Queensland state government-owned body, to deliver the balance-of-plant civil and electrical works along with the workers’ accommodation facility at the Lotus Creek Wind Farm in Central Queensland. Work will commence immediately, with completion expected by the end of 2027.
