NatWest starts transacting on PEXA’s UK platform
The news: National Westminster Bank (NatWest) is now able to transact on PEXA UK’s platform but the bank will use a subsidiary system acting as the conveyancer until more UK conveyancers start using the platform.
The context: NatWest successfully completed a remortgage implementation program with PEXA’s UK subsidiary Digital Completion UK.
NatWest will initially undertake digitised remortgage transactions with PEXA subsidiary Optima Legal acting as conveyancer until there is broader adoption of PEXA’s UK platform by conveyancers.
PEXA said the NatWest remortgage transactions integration has been delivered ahead of schedule. An implementation program to enable sale and purchase transactions is next to be undertaken.
What they said: “I would like to thank the teams at NatWest, PEXA and Optima Legal for their collaboration and commitment during the implementation process, and we look forward to continuing our partnership to support the ongoing digitisation of the property transaction journey for customers in the UK,” PEXA CEO Russell Cohen said.
