New NAB boss overhauls executive leadership team
The news: National Australia Bank has announced a number of changes to its executive leadership team just days after Andrew Irvine took over as the big four bank’s new CEO and managing director.
The context: NAB will make three changes to its 11-member leadership team with the inclusion of Rachel Slade, Ana Marinkovic and Cathryn Carver.
Slade will become group executive for business and private banking from 29 April, taking over from her current role as group executive for personal banking.
Marinkovic, who is currently executive for business direct and small business, will replace her as the head of personal banking from the same date.
Carver will take over as the group executive for corporate and institutional banking, replacing David Gall, who will leave NAB on 1 October after 16 years with the bank.
What they said: “This completes the executive leadership team that will take NAB forward and maintain the momentum we have across the business by executing with discipline and focus,” Irvine said.
