Nickel Industries shares fall after reporting fatal accident in Indonesia

The news: Shares in Nickel Industries fell in afternoon trade after the miner announced the suspension of operations at its Indonesian-based facility Hengjaya Mine.

Shares have fallen 3.44% to 91 cents at 1pm AEDT.

The context: The suspension comes after a fatal accident on Wednesday that had caused the death of a contractor at the transmission line construction site of the Excelsior Nickel Cobalt HPAL project.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will begin a formal investigation on 27 March.
