The news: Nine Entertainment Corporation has appointed WIN chief financial officer and chief operating officer Chris Halios-Lewis to its board of directors, two months after announcing it would divest its radio assets to WIN.

The context: Nine agreed to sell its TV news station in Northern NSW, NBN Television, to WIN Network for $15 million in January.

Halios-Lewis is the chief financial officer of billionaire Bruce Gordon’s private investment firm Birketu, Nine’s largest individual shareholder. Gordon also owns WIN.

WIN CEO and Birketu CEO Andrew Lancaster has sat on the Nine board since 2021.

Editor’s note: This story previously misstated that Nine sold its radio assets to WIN.
