Northern Minerals extends general meeting deadline to 30 September
The news: The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has granted an extension to Northern Mineral’s annual general meeting (AGM) date to 30 September, following a federal divestment order issued in May.
The context: This comes after a directive from the Federal Treasurer ordering six foreign investors to divest their shares in the company by 2 July, in which they were found to hold a combined 17.58% stake in the critical minerals company.
Northern Minerals was initially required to hold its AGM no later than 30 June, however the deadline has now been extended to 30 September or within 42 business days of being formally notified by the New Disposal Orders, whichever comes earlier.
The company stated that it will announce the proposed new date for the AGM on the ASX in due course.
