NRW Holdings inks three new contract deals
The news: NRW Holdings has secured a bulk earthworks contract from Rio Tinto for its West Angelas Sustaining Project (WASP).
The context: The contract covers bulk earthworks to enable access to five new mining satellites pits at the WASP operation. It includes haul road construction and a concrete overpass arch alongside other relevant infrastructures.
The contract is valued at around $175 million and is expected to provide job opportunities for 220 people. The project is scheduled to commence in early 2026 and to be completed in 2027.
Elsewhere, NRW Contracting has been awarded the reconstruction of Perth's Toodyay Road by Main Roads Western Australia.
The company has also been secured stage two of the Dampier Cargo Project, which involves the design and construction of the Dampier Link Bridge for Pilbara Ports.
