Nufarm CFO Paul Townsend steps down
The news: Nufarm’s chief financial officer Paul Townsend will step down from the role and be succeeded by Brendan Ryan, effective 13 January 2025.
The context: Townsend will move to a part-time strategic adviser role and will focus on supporting growth initiatives including Nufarm’s seed technologies platforms.
Nufarm managing director and chief executive Greg Hunt said Townsend decided to changes roles to maintain a balance between his personal and other professional interests.
Ryan spent 20 years at Fonterra and was most recently in commercial director (divisional CFO) roles for the chief operating office and its B2B global ingredients division based in New Zealand.
What they said: “I thank Paul for his valuable contribution during his four years at Nufarm. Paul will work closely with Brendan to ensure a smooth and efficient transition,” Hunt said.
