Nuix swings to first-half profit of $11m as software licence revenue lifts
The news: Software group Nuix has swung to a first-half net profit after tax of $11.1 million, up from a loss of $10.4 million in the previous corresponding period due to an increase in revenue, particularly from multi-year licences to use on-premise software.
The numbers: The profit figure is higher than the $1.9 million consensus expectation, according to Visible Alpha. Revenue lifted 15.2% to $121.2 million and statutory EBITDA lifted 72.7% to $26.5 million.
Annualised contract value for the first-half period is up 148% on the previous corresponding period at $46.9 million.
No dividends were declared for the period. Nuix reaffirmed its annualised contract value guidance range of between $240 million and $260 million.
The context: The company said that Nuix Neo was the key driver of annualised contract growth, particular due to sales increase for the Foundation and Investigations solutions. Nuix Neo customers hit 101, up from 75 at the end of FY25.
