Nvidia enters PC market
The news: Nvidia will enter the PC market with a new “superchip” the company says will reinvent Windows PCs “for the era of personal AI agents”.
The context: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made the announcement at the Computex trade show in Taipei, in a move set to challenge Intel.
Nvidia may be dominant in data centres, but its effort to enter the PC market faded out more than a decade ago.
The company didn’t give a precise month for the release of the RTX Spark Superchip, instead saying it would be available in Dell and Lenovo brands “this fall” in the northern hemisphere.
