Perpetual appoints UK director in board reshuffle

The news: Asset manager Perpetual Group has appointed UK-based director and executive Phil Wagstaff to its board, replacing the retiring Kathryn Matthews.

The context: Wagstaff was formerly global head of distribution and an executive committee member at Jupiter Asset Management and has held similar roles at Henderson Global Investors and Janus Henderson Investors. His role on Perpetual's board commences on 1 November.

What they said: "Phil’s deep knowledge, experience and success in leading and overseeing global distribution teams and strategy will be invaluable to our Group as we focus on driving our organic growth globally and deliver the benefits from our recent acquisitions in asset management," Perpetual chief executive Tony D’Aloisio said in a statement.
