Perseus Mining maintains FY26 guidance after production surge

The news: Perseus Mining has maintained its FY26 production guidance of 400,000 to 440,000 ounces, with an all-in site cost (AISC) range of USD1,600 ($2,240) to USD1,760 per ounce, after reporting stronger gold production and sales in the March quarter.

The number: For the three months ended March, the miner reported gold of 107,144 ounces at an AISC of USD1,748 per ounce, up from 88,888 ounces in the prior quarter.

Total gold sold reached USD96,260, up from USD86,607 from the prior period.

Cash and bullion balance grew to USD817 million, including listed securities of USD254 million. Operating cashflow rose to USD252 million, up from USD145 million in the previous quarter.

The context: Perseus Mining has reiterated its FY26 guidance following robust performances across its Yaoure, Edikan and Sissingue mines in Africa, which were the source of a 21% surge in gold production during the March quarter.

The company added that there were no operational disruptions resulting from the Middle East conflict and noted current fuel supplies are sufficient to support ongoing operations.
