PolyNovo appoints Bruce Peatey as chief executive
The news: Medical devices company PolyNovo has appointed Bruce Peatey as its new chief executive, starting 1 December.
The context: Peatey most recently ran the US, Canadian and Latin American markets for American dental equipment manufacturer Dentsply Sirona.
The appointment comes after former CEO Swami Raote abruptly departed the company in March. Non-executive director Robyn Elliott has been serving as acting CEO since then.
Earlier this year, PolyNovo outlined steps to address governance concerns amid media reports claiming that company chair David Williams was the subject of an internal bullying probe.
What they said: "[Peatey] brings extensive experience in navigating distribution strategies, having worked with both direct sales models and third-party distributors at Dentsply Sirona and other organisations," said Williams.
"This expertise will be instrumental as PolyNovo expands into the outpatient market and broadens its international presence."
